As you’ve probably noticed by now, I look the perfect mix of femininity and edge, and this outfit captures that perfectly. Lately I’ve had a slight infatuation with ILY Couture. Case in point: this adorable Wifey tee and Crystal Botanica necklace. Add a chunky sweater, black skinnies and these suede Steve Madden Vilocity booties and voila –– perfect Thanksgiving look achieved!
Every year Jarrod, my brother and I gather at my parents’ house for dinner, parade-watching and football games. Every year I look forward to my mom’s mashed potatoes and of course, Watergate Salad. It’s totally not a wintery dessert, but has been a part of our holidays since forever. Nevermind the fact that I try and hide the walnuts every year so that my mom won’t put them in, it’s still delicious!
Now for the crafting...Lauren Conrad recently shared these DIY glittery leaves. So cute! While these look to be real leaves, unfortunately those are no longer available in the Midwest. As an alternative, you can print a leaf-shaped pattern, trace it onto thick card stock, paint on some Mod Podge and coat in brown, gold, and orange glitter. Lastly, punch a hole in them and tie with ribbon for some festively fall garland.
What are your holiday traditions, and how does your style play into them?
