Not Your Mama's Prom Dress

...except that it is. That's right, I'm wearing my mom's prom dress in this post and I can prove it right here (yep, and that's my dad too). A few years ago while my mom was cleaning out closets, we came across this dress and naturally, I had to try it on. It fit perfectly so my crafty mama suggested we make some alterations and here it is as you see it below! I love this extra special dress with its velour corset top, floral print and lace. And the best part? It has POCKETS! Dresses with pockets are the best - seriously! Not to mention that it is the perfect color for the end of summer/beginning of fall.

    That is ADORABLE! Seriously cute. And I always always always look for dresses with pockets! I mean...why SHOULDN'T a dress have pockets? The need for pockets does not change depending on whether you're wearing pants or a dress. Pockets are essential. Score :)
