What a year!! So many exciting things happened this year for Regally Soled and we have all of our readers to thank! Perhaps the most notable was the launch of our new website and adorable 2-year blogiversary photos (thanks again Kelli!) as seen here.

2015 brought many exciting things - including some great beauty buys! Above are some of my favorite products from the year from both beauty specialty stores and drugstores. My two absolute faves have to be the mascara and the body butter. I highly recommend trying them all!

It's no secret that I have an obsession with the movie Mean Girls. Let me tell you, Target has had some gems when it comes to fun tees lately! I mean... I wore this top on Halloween to pass out candy and then I recently found this top. You didn't think I would pass it up, did you?!

Do you remember how excited Buddy the Elf was when he learned that Santa was coming to Gimbels?! Insert one Kacie and one Jaime into that scene and you've nailed our excitement. Yep, we're weird.

While I do love a good Star Wars movie, this post definitely is just a nod to my outfit, not the upcoming blockbuster. Who knew one movie franchise could take over everything from mascara to my Subway sandwiches!?

I'm not one to shy away from dark colored ensembles, this leather moto jacket and OTK boots are a little on the dark side for me. I've had the jacket for months and couldn't find the right thing to wear it with–seems to be a running trend with all of my clothing purchases as of late. Ha!

Remember when I wore this dress back in September? This is another piece that I knew would come in handy during the holidays and when I snagged this red and green plaid scarf earlier this fall, I knew the two were meant to be.

Who is the most difficult person to buy on your list? For us, buying for guys is always a challenge.

...it's Christmastime in the city! Yep, the image I just conjured up in my head was from the movie Scrooged where the guy is rowing down the bayou singing 'Silver Bells'. I've watched this movie more times than I can count and it's still a must-watch for me every year. I can quote nearly the entire movie scene-by-amazing-scene.

In case the fact that I'm dressed like a pretty little gift didn't give it away, this girl LOVES Christmas! Give me sparkly lights, jolly tunes and cheesy Hallmark movies and I am happy as a clam (in polka dots)!

It's official, I've moved past Thanksgiving (my least favorite holiday of the year) and headed straight to the most wonderful time of the year! Don't get me wrong, Thanksgiving is great and I love the additional family time, but I'd rather have more time celebrating Christmas and looking forward to gifting and all of the festive activities we have planned.

So I was looking through my Instagram the other day and it appears that I'm on a red and black kick this fall! Exhibit A. Exhibit B. But who could pass up this adorable buffalo plaid/polka dot vest?! Not I.

I highly doubt it will surprise you when I say that I love more tailored looks. If past blog posts are any indication, my style is pretty classic, chic. Not big shock there! I'm a total weirdo and I've been obsessing over this gingham top from J.Crew for some time now, and I finally decided that Black Friday was the perfect time to buy it. Why? Not too sure, the jury's still out on why it took me forever to buy a simple button up, but hey, it's mine now!

You can't fool me, I know what you're doing today. You're lounging in bed in your favorite, cozy pajamas drinking coffee/tea with an iPad (or a laptop) between your paws while stalking the Cyber Monday sales. Am I right? I really painted a picture there, didn't I? :)

Give me a warm vest and I'll be officially set for cold weather. Add on a cozy blanket scarf and I'll be strutting around coat free in mid-January. Am I crazy? Probably, but some of the best people are–or so I like to tell myself.

So last Friday morning we learned that there had been an "incident" in our office park and that our building was on lockdown. My first thought was, "If I don't get to take outfit pictures today, I'm going to be FURIOUS!" Criminals. They ruin everything.

I totally wanted to pat myself on the back this morning for this outfit composition after my recent fashion slump. #slowclap I finally feel like I'm getting back on track and my inspiration is back! Now to explain what this title means because I am by no means a senator's daughter...

It's hard to believe that in just over a week we'll be gathered around the table with our families celebrating the first of the holiday season. With that said, now is the time to start thinking about what little gifty-gift to take to your fabulous holiday hostess - the clock is a tickin' my friend! While there are all kinds of pretty fall gifts available, we are firm believers that the Christmas season begins immediately following Turkey Day. Like serously, it's time to deck those halls before the pie is even served. Therefore, these sparkly, winter-inspired gifts will bring more use with both Christmas and New Years just around the corner!

Between selling our house, moving into a rental and trying to get plans squared away to build (maybe), I've been way more stressed that what I'm used to. Life is finally getting back to normal and to celebrate a return to the relaxation, my husband and I decided to head to a local-fave, Anderson Orchard. I can't even begin to say how long it's been since I've been to an orchard, but I was super excited to enjoy a stress-free, sunny fall day.

Some days we strategically plan out outfits and shoot locations, and other days we have a cute outfit on and scramble to find a location that works. Today was definitely the latter of the two options as we were driving to lunch and took photos near our favorite hibachi restaurant, which happened to be beside a liquor store. So conveniently we had some interesting people watching opportunities while trying to snap some quick shots before lunch. #noshame

So this was my first time wearing leather leggings this year and I somehow forgot about all the crazy looks I get when wearing these to the office. Apparently only the stylishly gifted can appreciate a good leather pant. Wah-wah...

It's officially November, which means I'm counting down to the holidays–my favorite time of the year! This is honestly the first really "fall" outfit I've worn so far this year. It's always tough dressing for 40-ish degrees in the morning, only to end your day with temps in the 70's. I've pretty much been living in t-shirts, open flowing cardigans and light jackets, but decided today was the day to break out a sweater and pretend like I enjoy the cooling temps.

Can you believe it's November already?! I for one, am super excited that Halloween is over because that means that the holidays are right around the corner! I'm beginning to think about things like what to wear on Thanksgiving and where to find a holiday dress for my company Christmas party. Squeeeee!

Beautiful wooded area, sunny day and an adorable fall outfit...what could possibly go wrong? Well you see, lots of things could go wrong. You could forget your camera and have to use your iphone, then be blinded by the sun no matter which way turn and finally add in some wind for extra problems. All of this and more led to a series of unfortunate events which I'm sure you all can relate to. I'm also pretty sure when we stopped to get a fountain drink that day on our way back the office and the nozzle exploded on my hand and shirt. See, super fun day huh?

It's the end of October and the fall colors are finally starting to show here in Indy! This past Saturday was the perfect fall day with rain and a bit of a chill - just what I was hoping for! It was also super windy and thus resulted in these blurry photos. Sorry! :)

Okay, so this shirt is not completely accurate, because I like to run. But for the record, I completely agree with this statement! Shopping is totally cardio especially when you're lugging around a massive purse, short on time (and thus, sprinting through the store) and have you ever dug through a massive  pile of denim only to discover that your size is on the bottom? Just like dumbbells, my friend.

You know those days when you wake up and really don't feel like getting dressed? Yep, today was another one of those days–partially because I can't find half of my clothing and partially because I hate getting out of bed and being cold. We recently sold our house and spent the majority of last weekend moving all of our belongings into a rental house while we get plans together to build a new home. Needless to say, getting dressed in the morning has been a challenge to say the least. You know it's bad when you've resorted to talking to your dog and asking her where your pants are. This was totally a legitimate conversation that was had this morning–just me and the dog.

Aside from a full on conversation with the dog, she did manage to help my find my pants that were in another bedroom so I'd say today was a fashion win. Add a pair of riding boots and this amazing chunky knit sweater from Satori Boutique and we were in business for the day.
