Double The Peplum, Double The Fun

A few months ago Jaime and I were on a typical lunchtime Target run when I came across this red peplum jacket. I tried it on and asked her if it was cute on me and she said yes. Lies...

When I finally got around to trying it on last week I discovered that it was way too short on me, as most peplums are. So, what do you do when your a thousand feet tall and most peplum tops are too short on you? You layer another peplum underneath! At least, that's what I did.

I was super excited when I remembered this windowpane peplum (remember it from this post over the summer?) and of course, had to do some kind of print-mixing so and I added leopard heels to complete the outfit. This look would also be great for a Valentine's Day outing if you aren't getting too dressy!

      Thanks, Megan! The jacket is definitely very short without the second peplum underneath but I love how they turned out together :)

    This is such a great styling idea, and I totally feel ya on the tall-ness and problem with peplums! But you totally made it work, and this outfit is so cute!

    I'm loving the print mixing here! The checkered pattern and leopard print look fabulous together. You've lengthened the blazer so well by layering it over this longer shirt. Lovely!

    It is super cute on you and very flattering! I love the idea of layering another top under it though. As a fellow tall girl, Layering another, longer top under a shorter one is definitely a trick I use often.
