I don't know about you ladies, but for me, I always feel very masculine in flannel and collared shirts. I know, I know it's a unisex style that looks totally fab on ladies too, but I still can't help but feel somewhat like a boy when I wear them. With that said, I always try and make it a point to girl-up (is that a word??) this style by adding feminine touches where I can–a statement necklace, fun bracelets, girly heels or even a ruffled vest in this case. This helps to at least reduce the boy-factor in my mind. Don't get me wrong, I love a good button-up or flannel top, but for me I've got to add a girly flare to it or it just puts me in a weird state of mind. Call me crazy, am I the only one who feels like this?
Also, can someone give me their tips for styling a button-up under a sweater? I loved Kacie's look in this post and when we were talking about how cute it was I commented that I'm not sure how to make that look normal logistically without looking bunched up and weird. Do you size up your sweater? Do you buy a fitted button-up? I don't know, help a girl out here because I am way clueless!
