Firecracker Cookies

I came across this recipe on Pinterest a couple of years ago and have been on the hunt for red, white and blue sprinkles every summer since then. Leave it to Target to stock these festive bits of fun - and in the dollar section no less! In observance of Memorial Day, I thought it was the perfect time to try this super simple cookie recipe so keep an eye out for these sprinkles and plan to make them for the 4th of July!

Firecracker Cookies

1 box of french vanilla cake mix 16.5 oz
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 c vegetable oil
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c sprinkles

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium size bowl, combine cake mix and baking powder. In small bowl, mix eggs, oil and vanilla extract. Add wet ingredients to dry mixture and stir to combine. Add in sprinkles, Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheets and bake for 10-14 minutes.

And that's it! They're pretty, patriotic and oh so delicious! Happy Memorial Day, everyone!
