Can I ask you guys a serious question??


Why are black booties SO ugly?! I see cute booties in brown, tan, grey, etc. all the time and they're adorable. Then I look at the same shoe in the black version and I think they're hideous. I recently purchased my last-year fave from Target in black (shown above) and I can't say I love them. Anyone remember Roger from the Nickelodeon show "Doug"? Yeah, that's me. #90sKid

Now let's ignore these booties and talk about the rest of this look. As soon as I saw this Willow and Clay dress from Satori Crystal Boutique I envisioned a grungy look perfect for a dreary day. Last Friday was chilly and rainy so I decided to bring my vision to life. All of my latest Rocksbox jewels plus this belt from White House Black Market and a leather jacket pulled it together. Even though I didn't feel completely comfortable in this look, I think it turned out okay. Oh well – ya win some, ya lose some! :)

    The booties are super cute I have one pair from Coach and I love them so much that when they fall apart I may cry!!! But lady you're doing the whole grunge thing really well!

    I like the boots, especially with the funky print of that dress! But I do agree that they make so many cuter options in brown than in black. I have a black pair that I just don't love but have yet to find a replacement for!
