Earlier this week, we had the opportunity to attend an exclusive VIP event hosted by Crown Royal as they launched the new Crown Royal Regal Apple. Did we mention that this event took place in a suite at the Indiana Pacers - New York Knicks game? Yep, we're fancy. :)

I will go on the record and say as fortunate as I am not to have acne prone skin, I am equally as unfortunate in the skin hydration department. Coupled with psoriasis and unreal dry skin, the dry winter air definitely wreaks havoc on my skin and causes me to basically live in a tub of lotion from November to March–fun right? However, I have found some products that protect against harsh winter conditions and leave my skin hydrated healthy.

While I love eclectic style - mixed prints, boho and moto details, brights, etc - I have always loved the look of a classic, simplistic dress shirt. When I came across this striped top at TJ Maxx, I knew it needed to come home with me. Along with a million other things...

Back in the day, there were so many fashion rules that have since become outdated. Combing black and navy, mixing metals and patterns and wearing the same color head to toe were among the list of fashion no-no's. At the top of the fashion rule list was to not white after labor day. Listen friends, rules were mean to be broken, especially when it comes to getting dressed, and I'm glad that white is now a year round color because I would have really missed wearing outfits like this one in the winter.

Even the mere sight of dresses makes us giddy with excitement and ready for spring weather! Let's be honest, as much as we love cozy sweaters, it's time to shed the layers, break out of our jeans and boots and hop into some fresh spring looks. Nothing says spring to us like beautiful pastel dresses in the pantone colors of the year, rose quartz and serenity.

You can ask just about anyone who knows me and they'll tell you I'm literally the least cool person they know. Seriously, just last week a friend told me that I need to get out more (thanks!). Let's just say that about the only thing turning up on my typical Friday night is an old episode of FRIENDS. But at least this shirt makes me sound cool, right?

This outfit was perfect to ring in the holiday that celebrates love because rose quartz has often been dubbed the "love stone" and inspires the love of beauty, in oneself and others. Even though I've had this coat for many years, the subtle pink hue and structured military shape has always helped break me out of any winter blues I may be experiencing. Speaking of, can it be spring yet?

As Jaime mentioned in her post yesterday, we had beautiful weather this past weekend – we're talking sunny and 50 degrees in January. Woo hoo! So for a full day of donut eating, marathon shopping and brow shaping (don't ask), I opted for a comfy athleisure look with pops of brights to complement my cheery mood. This was the result.

Indianapolis had amazingly warm weather for January and Kacie and I took full advantage of the coat-free days to wonder about the city and hit up a few places we wanted to check out. First stop on our adventure, The Dancing Donut. Two massive donuts later and a massive sugar high, we were ready to shop!

If I could showcase my style personality in one look, it would be this one. Seriously, moto booties and an edgy leather jacket with a romantic, Victorian-inspired blouse and girly jewelry?! Yep, that's Kacie alright - two opposite ends of the spectrum! But, what makes this look extra special is my MVMT watch. I know that's what you're looking at!

I woke up today with about ZERO intentions of wearing a cute outfit. Jeans, a t-shirt and a hoodie were totally at the top of my list of outfits, but after doing a cute side braid I figured I should up my game for a hot minute. I had to laugh after I got dressed because this outfit was completely at the opposite end of the spectrum–and far removed a simple t-shirt and jeans–but it totally helped start my day off on the right foot.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I have two black cats who I absolutely adore. I also have no shame in admitting that I'm a total cat lady. So, when Jaime sent me a link to this adorable black cat blouse from Romwe, I knew I needed it  - right meow!

Taking blog photos is always an interesting fete as many of you know, especially when the background of your photos are tainted by a woman walking around in circles at the top of the hill listening to Cindi Lauper music, quickly followed by what sounded like dogs panting. Yeah, you read that right...panting; beyond strange. What can I say, it's never a dull moment.

February?? Is that right? Honestly, it's hard to believe that its still winter with the warm temperatures we've had lately - and I am NOT complaining! I mean...I went for a walk over the weekend and there were actual bugs flying around. #TwilightZone
