There's just something about fresh flowers that instantly makes a girl happy. When local specialty florist, Deluxe Flowerbox, delivered these beauties to our office on Monday, we were beyond delighted! If you're in the Indianapolis-area and aren't familiar with this company, you are in for a treat!

LBD with a twist totally sounds like it should be a drink. Cocktail for one please! I should have worn this outfit on Cinco de Mayo, but since it's veinticinco de Mayo that totally counts right? No? Moving on...three things I'm loving in this post: 1) this amazing flared shirt dress courtesy of Tobi; 2) the head-to-toe bright accessories; and 3) the fact that the sun is shining and Indiana has officially joined the rest of the country in the season known as spring. Listen people, it's the little things in life.

Everything. All the time.

This fun graphic tee phrase could mean so many things but I like to think of it as the style blogger's mantra. We want it all: the clothes, the shoes, the makeup, the photo (or five thousand photos), the success. While that's all good and well, sometimes we need to slow down and remind ourselves to stop and eat the ice cream (yes, I know that's supposed to be 'stop and smell the roses' but I happen to be holding an ice cream cone - just go with it!)

What is it about ice cream and sunny days that take me right back to childhood!? Even as an fully grown adult, I transform into a child and want a vibrant colored cone, complete with sprinkles. So on this particular day, when Kacie and I visited Elysian Co and stopped into Kelainey's for ice cream, I had to have a colorful, sprinkle filled cone to match the super sunny day!

So camo is a pretty masculine print right? Well, leave it to me to do something strange and combine two things that wouldn't obviously go together. It's probably not everyone's first thought to pair hot pink with camo but I mean, hunters pair it with neon orange so why not? Taking cues from an activity I don't support – good one, Kacie!

Flirty, flowing, fuschia and fun are the perfect descriptors for this dress! It's no secret when the weather warms up this girl goes straight for flowing fabrics and girly silhouettes. Unfortunately, Indiana weather has had other plans for me and I've been dressing more fall than spring (as seen here). We've only had a few days of perfectly sunny, warm weather, so on that rare occasion when it was an absolute downpour, I opted for this bright fuschia cold shoulder dress. I couldn't resist when I saw this beauty! How could you?

When Macy’s contacted us about hosting their Spring Fashion Show we took a moment to laugh about our shared discomfort speaking to an audience and immediately wrote it off as something we couldn’t do. Somewhere in between that point and the urge to tackle a new challenge, we actually accepted the hosting gig and the sheer panic of, “What did we just agree to do!?” set in. However after weeks of working up the nerve to actually squeak out coherent words, we hosted Macy’s Spring into Style Fashion Show. We totally have to pat ourselves on the back for being able to a) speak with confidence and b) host an event in the heart of the Castleton Square Mall where it wasn’t just the seated audience we were speaking to, but an entire crew of people milling around the mall on a rainy Saturday.

Weekend before last Jaime and I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with the absolutely adorable Elise who owns the equally adorable boutique Elysian Co. We were outfitted in select pieces from her new Spring 2016 collection and headed to the cutest little lake town you've ever seen for a super sweet photo shoot. Our first stop was Rocket Fizz because, well...pink door. Duh.

For two glorious weekends in April celebrities, style bloggers and all-around music lovers jet off to Indio, California to take in the free-spirited music vibes and chill, desert atmosphere of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. In the true spirit of Coachella, I instead traveled three hours north of Indianapolis to visit one of my favorite boutiques, Elysian Co., and don a head-to-toe gypsy-inspired "no-chella" look. It's practically the same thing right? No?
