Falling Into Summer

Why did summers feel so much cooler as a kid? Oh that's right, because you were on break from school and free to do as you please for what felt like an unlimited amount of time. Too bad as adults we don't have summer breaks. That would definitely make summer feel, well, like summer break again.


Also for some reason, I've been wearing a lot of colors that are more traditionally worn in fall. I don't know why, but I just can't give up olive green–no matter the season. So when I saw this fun off the shoulder top at Target, I knew it would pair perfectly with my favorite pair of olive skinnies from Old Navy. Throw on some awesome Michael Kors sandals (similar here) I found recently at TJ Maxx and you have a the makings of a comfortable summer ensemble.

On another note: I feel like I've taken a hiatus from blogging this summer. I've been super busy trying to coordinate material selections for our house that I feel like everything else in my life has taken a back seat to our build. Literally, I've forgotten so many things recently and have had to turn to the Reminders app on my iPhone. Cool. But I promise that things are starting to slow down and I'll back back to my normal posting schedule soon.

    Summers did feel cooler as a kid! I think it was the break. Loving this color combo. Sometimes I get sucked into wearing too many brights in the summer which really isn't my personal style.
