Three Cheers for Three Years, Part One

For probably about two years, we talked about how much fun it would be to have a blog. Finally, three years ago we took the plunge and haven't looked back since. It's been quiet the journey of testing our comfort zone and taking our blog to the next level. When we look back to our first outfit posts we both cringe, but we also celebrate our progress and the fact that we've continued to improve year after year. From nailing down our own personal styles to testing new trends, we've come to the conclusion that we absolutely love sharing our lives with our readers. In honor of our three year blogiversary, we decided to kick off our shoes, literally, and go back to our Midwestern roots.

We were lucky enough to have Elise Wright Photography along for the ride to capture these amazing shots for us! Kacie may or may not have gotten tetanus from a rusty nail and Jaime may or may not have been attacked by a weed–but all in the name of the perfect shot, right?


Midwestern style is versatile and adaptable and that's what our blog is all about. Last year we wanted an urban vibe for our blogiversary shoot – remember these great shots from our blogger pal, Kelli? This year we decided to show the reverse side of Indiana – the beautiful small town, country side. Keeping with last year's theme of pink and white, we found these cute but simple sun dresses at Urban Outfitters and knew shoes were definitely optional. You can shop our dresses below!
