Boho in Lola Blu

One day last week it was twelve degrees below zero. Two days later, we got a random seven inches of snow that popped up overnight, unannounced. Then, two days after THAT, it was 60 degrees, which I think is a TEN on the Kacie Weather Rating Scale. Interestingly enough, it was one day after Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early Spring. I think he just felt the onset of warm air and found himself quite confused (I know I am!). To sum it all up: winter is coming (again) soon. Now that I’ve completed that meteorological math equation, let’s talk about this outfit.

On said 60 degree day (we’ll call it ‘Sunday’), Jonathan and I headed out for lunch and merriment and in the process, snapped these fine photos. Let me tell you, it was an interesting time. The sun was insidiously bright and the wind was a-blowin’, but I was too enchanted by this pale yellow sweater and lace bralette combo from one of my favorite local boutiques, Lola Blu, to notice that my photos just weren’t turning out how I wanted them to. Just kidding I had a near meltdown. Ask my boyfriend.

Now in all seriousness, this sweater is the perfect Spring transition piece with its pastel shade and lightweight knit. It was perfectly sheer and great with a black bralette (which is padded, you guys, WHAT!). My first instinct when I received this sweater was to wear it with white denim, but I decided to switch things up and pair with some old favorites: black distressed denim (Old Navy) and floppy hat (Target), offset with a light-wash denim jacket (JCPenney) and pale nude loafers (Dottie Couture). I snagged this fun layered necklace from Lola Blu back in December when I attended the Indy Blogger Holiday Party and I so love it. This was definitely my favorite look of the last few months and can’t wait to wear it again. If you’re in Indy, head to Broad Ripple and check out Lola Blu in the cutest little blue building, right off the Monon!
